Lovettsville

Lovettsville

Lovettsville is located in the northern most part of Virginia two miles south of the Potomac River and just 14 miles northwest of Leesburg. Historically speaking, it has been a farming community since its inception. During the early 1700's, German immigrants arrived to farm the area’s rich soil.

Lovettsville offers a range of single-family farmhouses, colonials and ramblers. There is also land available as well. The community embraces its German beginnings. There is an annual Oktoberfest that is open to the public and anticipated well in advance!

Lovettsville has a vast array of outdoor recreation to offer. Lovettsville Community Center has an outdoor pool, tennis courts, a gym and a playground allowing all age groups to utilize this park. The Town Square and the Town Green is public park space that allows residents and visitors to picnic, walk around or just relax.

Along with Oktoberfest, Lovettsville offers events and activities such as Light Up Lovettsville, Movies on the Green, Berkserkle on the Squirkle and Mayfest.

Lovettsville is bisected by Route 287, and is nine miles north of Route 7 and the town of Purcellville. Residents are roughly three miles away from Brunswick, Maryland, which connects to the MARC commuter rail system and provides a convenient commuting option to D.C.’s Union Station.
