Fairfax Station

Fairfax Station

Fairfax Station grew around a railroad station with proximity to Fairfax, the county seat at the time. Rich in landscape, both in history and nature, Fairfax Station influenced the economy and caused Civil War skirmishes in the area. Clara Barton tended to thousands of soldiers as most of the wounded were sent from the Fairfax Station depot to Alexandria and Washington hospitals.

Fairfax Station is located just south and west of Springfield and Burke, Virginia and provides a bridge of homes and land to the city of Lorton.

Fairfax Station is comprised of several distinct subdivisions and communities, many boasting minimum lot sizes of 5 acres to preserve the country side and green spaces. In addition to lovely estate-sized homes, Fairfax Station is also home to many horse farms, parks and recreation areas making it the perfect destination for those that want to live close to our nation’s capital, yet feel a world apart.

Fairfax Station is serviced by several major roads including the Fairfax County Parkway, Braddock Road and Route 123.
